The project to save, renovate and reopen the historic Hotel Mittaghorn is well advanced. A prerequisite for the reopening of the hotel is the construction of avalanche protection. A construction project was drawn up with the help of architects, geologists, engineers, building physicists, building services planners, carpenters and catering experts. The project has been approved by the building authorities and a building license granted. The subsoil has been explored (Video). Land for depositing the excavated material has been secured. Offers from the most important contractors have been submitted. A business plan has been drawn up.
However, we are still searching for a partner or partners to run the hotel. And the financing of the project has not yet been secured. Only if the search for partners and investors is successful, the renovation can begin in spring 2024.
